New publication on pain-related fear learning

This study investigated whether pain-related fear learning shapes the perception of acute experimental pain in quiescent IBD. You can find the full publication here.

Using a two-day differential fear conditioning paradigm, the acquisition and extinction of conditioned fear responses to nociceptive (thermal pain) and non-nociceptive (aversive sounds) unconditioned stimuli (US) were assessed in IBD patients and healthy controls. The full paper can be found herE.
